GreatBolt Industries offers Stainless Steel 316/ 316L Anchors for pipe supports to restrict their movements in different directions. We offer both fixed and directional anchors to different areas of applications. They are also known as fixed-point support that doesn’t allow the pipes to move in various directions.
When all movement should be avoided then fixed anchors are used hence known as a fixed point. The pipe is directly welded to the structure for providing support. However, an insulated pipe is welded to the shoe which is also welded to the structure. Thus, connection or fixing of pipe support depends upon the pipe being used.
The welded and non-welded type anchors or fixed points are available that restrict different movements. The non-welded type anchors only prevent the linear movements of pipe in different directions. However, they don’t support the restrictions of rotational movements. This type of anchor prevents the heavy loading of support. Hence, they are commonly used in comparison to the welded type anchor.
Welded type anchor prevents both the rotational and linear movements of the pipe. Whenever complete prevention from further movement or force is required then welded type anchor is used. However, this results in heavy loading on support.
Another type of Stainless Steel 316/ 316L Anchors is directional anchors. Such anchors allow movement but only in one direction. The pipe structure is prevented to move in another direction. The pipe movement is directed in one direction away from the equipment, structures, buildings and more.

The pipe anchors are useful in several applications to reduce the effect of compression forces on the pipe. It also reduces the noise up to 40 dB due to its design and material used. The Stainless Steel 316/ 316L are used to manufacture these anchors. Type 316 possesses molybdenum, chromium, and nickel. This gives corrosion resistant ability, pitting resistant to chloride ion solutions, and high strength at high temperatures.
Also, the anchors are useful in acidic environments where they show resistance to sulfuric, formic, acetic, hydrochloric, and tartaric acids. Moreover, anchors are useful in alkaline chloride, sulfates acid environments. The 316L anchors are useful in high-temperature scope of 1900-2100 degrees F.
